Business Analyst II

What are the must have requirements? Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, specifically Excel. Must be able to translate program requirements into data needs and visa versa. Must be able to conduct detailed analysis, present in a variety of formats, speak to the content on behalf of the business. Strong critical and creative thinker. Work with multiple teams. General understanding and comfortability with health care and health plans. Has to be able to take assignments on day one with minimal training. (of course will provider general training, etc. for about 2 weeks)
What are the day to day responsibilities? Meetings with business/program owners, initiate/track/revise data reporting requests, conduct analysis and present findings, lead various working meetings and workgroups as needed, assigned activities as needed.
What is the desired work hours (i.e. 8am 5pm) somewhat flexible. Should be within the hours of 730a-6p PST.
What additional equipment besides a laptop, keyboard, mouse and headset will be required for this candidate to be successful in this role? - Dual monitors and a docking station should not exceed ***





Summary: Develop new business process flow requirements and functional specifications for projects. Plan and create deliverables which effectively detail and communicate analysis results. Transition knowledge to/from operational business resources. Work with Payroll and management to ensure business needs are addressed with appropriate priority. Track and report status and issues to appropriate parties. Accountable for delivering work products that comply with regulatory and/or contractual requirements. Travel to Client sites may be required. Essential Functions: Work directly with managers and partners to understand their business needs, strategies, priorities and key issues. Assimilate and document this information into business requirements. Develop process flow for functions; develop resources to assist operational functions between clients and departments. Liaison to departments ensuring strategic solutions meets business requirements. Trainer for departments with new products and services implementations. Perform orientation presentations for new hire on boarding process. Work closely with managers and Special Projects. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to abide by Clients policies Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers Required Education: Bachelors degree. Emphasis in business operations/management preferred. Will accept experience in lieu of formal education. Required Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years proven analytical experience.
