Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Southlake, TX
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients during routine health visits or critical diagnostic procedures. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens, ensuring proper labeling and documentation, and maintaining a professional and compassionate environment. The PSR II is expected to uphold leadership behaviors, confidentiality standards, and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and punctually under supervisor direction.
 - Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
 - Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established protocols.
 - Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the patient’s presence.
 - Maintain accurate records and documentation.
 - Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
 
Requirements:
Skills & Abilities:
- High-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
 - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
 - Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
 - Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
 - Adherence to company policies, dress code, and safety guidelines.
 - Sound judgment and decision-making based on established procedures.
 - Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
 - Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with minimal notice.
 - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
 - Superior customer service and communication skills.
 
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
 - Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
 - Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
 
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
 - At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred)
 - Experience in customer service within retail or service industries (Preferred)
 - Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
 
Additional Information:
- Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.
 - This position may be assigned to a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
