Location: Edison, NJ 08820
Duration: 06/09/2025 – 09/06/2025
Shift: Evening Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Schedule: 5 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week, every other weekend
Department: LTC, SAR, ERU, and VENT
Pay Range: $24-$28/hr.

• The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN professional to all assigned patients and maintains a safe patient area.
• Provides direct hygiene and comfort care to patients including bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, incontinent care, and bed making.
• Takes vital signs under the direction of the RN, and documents accordingly, and notifies the RN of the results.
• Performs and documents glucose finger sticks and collects other specimens including stool, urine, and sputum.
• Obtains and documents daily patient weights and observes and documents patient’s intake and output.
• Provides a safe patient environment by answering call lights promptly and communicating with the RN immediately for any change in patient’s condition.
• Acts in the role of patient sitter when needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe nursing unit and patient room.
• Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.).
• Communicates with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.).
• Regular contact with medical personnel, patients, and visitors.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required:
• Certified Nursing Assistant and/or nursing student enrolled in a BSN program who has successfully completed theoretical and clinical practical in fundamentals of nursing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
