Location/Division Specific Information: Our Hillsboro site produces world-class electron microProducts used by scientists and engineers to drive innovation around the globe
This role works to produce-high quality components used in the world s finest tools used by researchers like Nobel prize winners and the teams who imaged the COVID-19 virus.
What will you do?
Conduct assembly, wiring, alignments, and final configurations of components.
Conduct Assembly work applying prescribed methods using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
Collect test data, use databases and other office programs to document the manufacturing process
Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions
Assist in the selection and/or set-up of specialized equipment
Perform a wide variety of troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
Perform equipment set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance
Follow audit and safety guidelines
Participate in continuous process improvement.
Employee accomplishments and career achievements are acknowledged via our APPRECIATE program
Daily Team Meetings held to address barriers to production and to highlight employee wins
Employees are actively involved with exciting new and emerging product
All feedback is considered valuable and is captured via our Just Do It task program
Training is routinely provided either as On the Job or via our Client University online portal
How will you get here?
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
1 year of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred
Background in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, sophisticated manufacturing processes preferred
Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement a plus
Previous assembly experience in a Clean Room environment is a plus
Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Division-Specific Outlook and Access)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrated ability in Efficiently working in a Team of 8-10 colleagues
Ability to use appropriate PPE
Ability to analyze and address problems independently as well as collaboratively
Ability to support projects, perform training and work efficiently low volume as part of cohesive teams
Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills
Ability to lift-up to 35lbs
Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language, and educational backgrounds
