About the Role:
The Experimental Manufacturing Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring smooth experimental production operations. This individual will manage manufacturing routings, coordinate material flow, support fabrication processes, and troubleshoot program and part-related issues while maintaining accurate records and reporting. The role requires a combination of technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support the manufacturing team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and edit manufacturing routings for experimental builds.
- Generate programs for fabrication operations.
- Review manufactured part prints for accuracy.
- Monitor inventory and forecast material needs.
- Transfer stock between departments and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding material transfers and stock status.
- Coordinate with Supply Management on purchased parts and inventory availability.
- Prepare and update daily/weekly reports using Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Occasionally design and model simple parts for shop use.
- Troubleshoot part requests from engineers and diagnose issues with laser programs or manufacturing routings.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate degree in Pre-Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings/prints.
- Experience with CREO and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with SAP and Power BI.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices.
- High computer literacy and comfort with technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of fabrication processes, including sheet metal.
