Job Duration: 2-3 Months of contract
Shift: Mon – Thus 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
 
Pay Rate: $19.93 - $22.17/hr. on W2

Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, providing professional and compassionate service to patients seeking routine testing or critical diagnostic care. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.

The PSR II builds trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing venipuncture safely, skillfully, and accurately. This position requires strong leadership behaviors, attention to detail, commitment to process excellence, and strict adherence to patient confidentiality standards.

Assignments may include working in a physician’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the direction of the area supervisor.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.

  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature after venipuncture to confirm proper specimen labeling.

  • Ensure specimens are labeled in the patient’s presence with accurate identifying information.

  • Maintain required documentation and records.

  • Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed.

  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including dress code and safety standards.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

  • Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with minimal notice.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Basic keyboard and data entry proficiency.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred).

  • Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience:

  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

  • 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred.

  • Previous data entry experience required.

Additional Details:

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
