Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Murphysboro, IL 62966 (Onsite Position)
Contract: 8+ Months (Possible of extension)
Shift: 1st shift (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) Tuesday - Saturday
Pay Range - $18 - $20/Hour on W2
Job Description:
The purpose of this position is:
The Warehouse Associate picks, packs, and ships supplies and materials to internal and external customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials.
This position includes significant duties such as:
• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or elevator
• Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures
• Picks, packs, and ships materials and products
• Processes all packages for shipping; including affixing shipping labels, boxing products with dry ice per packaging regulations and processing returned merchandise
• Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment and participates in quality improvement efforts
• Performs required administrative tasks; preparing all required shipping reports and correspondence
• Will be required to help out with production tasks if needed. Performs other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds and up to 60 pounds frequently; rarely lifts over 60 lbs. Use of noxious or hazardous chemicals with appropriate PPE. Protective clothing or equipment may occasionally be required including: gloves, freezer jacket or jumpsuit, protective eyewear, footwear.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Required Experience:
Experience working in Warehouse Environment.
Fork truck experience required. Fork truck certification provided.
Computer literacy preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software preferred.
