Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Shenandoah, TX
Duration: 3 months, possibility of extension
Schedule: Weekdays (Monday–Friday)
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Shift:

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) to join our healthcare team in a full-time, temporary capacity. The PSR II will serve as the face of our company, interacting directly with patients and performing high-quality blood specimen collections. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in phlebotomy, exceptional patient care skills, and the ability to operate independently in a high-volume setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collections, including venipuncture on pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients.

Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the patient’s presence.

Accurately maintain documentation and records in accordance with regulatory and company standards.

Create a safe, professional, and compassionate environment for all patients.

Travel between assigned Patient Service Centers or In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed, with minimal notice.

Represent the organization with professionalism and provide excellent customer service.
Job Requirements:

Strong phlebotomy skills with experience across diverse patient populations (pediatric, geriatric, capillary).

Ability to maintain accuracy and professionalism in fast-paced and high-volume settings.

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Committed to upholding all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Ability to multitask, exercise good judgment, and remain flexible with scheduling needs.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections
-
At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center or similar healthcare environment preferred
-
Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare setting
-
Proficient in keyboarding and data entry
