Description:
San Francisco CTx / Drug Substance Division - The Drug Substance Division is one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. We specialize in both small and large molecule development and commercial drug substance services. This allows us to serve the needs of Small/Emerging, Mid-Sized, and Large Pharma sectors globally.
How will you make an impact?
Supply improvement ideas & suggestions to help continue the success of the plant. Associates will have the ability & initiative to lead & participate in plant problem-solving teams, apply problem-solving techniques, communicate efficiently, and demonstrate leadership & plan effectively. Individuals will work in a fast-paced environment & be able to communicate effectively. This position is responsible for the building maintenance and repair of all production related machinery and equipment. Must have the following skills and experience: Electrical/electronic repair in a manufacturing plant; strong knowledge working HVAC systems; instrumentation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration. Work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Associates will operate, maintain & fix all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical & electrical breakdowns following strict product safety & quality standards. Electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting in a manufacturing plant.
Background in industrial, mechanical, electrical, and computer systems
Knowledge of & capable of performing special technical skills (electrical troubleshooting, basic PLC skills, machining, welding tasks, high pressure gases)
Instrumentation, troubleshooting, repair and calibration. Knowledge of electrical installation & construction, AC/DC motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics systems
Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs
How will you get here?
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree a plus but not required
Experience:
3 years (Three 12-month periods) maintenance related experience, including a minimum of 1500 hours of on-the-job experience.
Experience with Windows based PCs
Experienced to repair heating equipment, fix gas-fired equipment and calibrate all gas-related controls.
Expertise with HVAC systems: instrumentation, repair and calibration.
Background in industrial, mechanical, and electrical systems
Experience with Windows based PC's.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals
Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers
5+ years of electrical/electronic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing plant preferred.
Other Job Requirements:
Adhere to OHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and balanced workplace environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be aware of potential exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and high noise areas.
