Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: North Port, FL
Shift: Day/EST – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Duration: 5+ Months
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Phlebotomist/Patient Services Representative to collect blood specimens, prepare samples for lab testing, and provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection for patients of all ages
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and confidentiality procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive patient experience
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
- Strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills preferred
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Basic keyboard/data entry skills required
- Flexible for overtime/weekends if needed
