Position Summary:
The Medical Affairs Quality Education Design Specialist designs and delivers impactful training programs aligned with Client’s Non-Medical Device Quality Management System (QMS) for Medical Affairs. This hybrid role supports both in-office and remote work, requires 8:00-5:00 PM 3-4 days per week at a maximum of 24 hours per week, and includes up to 20% travel to support global business needs.

Position Summary:
The Medical Affairs Quality Education Design Specialist designs and delivers impactful training programs aligned with Client’s Non-Medical Device Quality Management System (QMS) for Medical Affairs. Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Design & Development:
- Create and implement educational programs for hybrid delivery (virtual and in-person).
- Develop e-learning modules and multimedia content using tools like Articulate Storyline or Captivate.
- Administer and maintain content in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Conduct learning needs analyses and recommend targeted interventions.
- Measure program effectiveness and optimize based on feedback and analytics.
- Partner with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and content.
- Support educators and facilitators with instructional technology and best practices.
- Ensure all materials meet ADA, EEO, and regulatory standards.
- Apply adult learning theory and inclusive teaching practices.
- Design and maintain dashboards to track Medical Affairs performance within QMS.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years in instructional design or adult learning required.
- Minimum 2 years in the medical device or regulated industry (preferred).
- Proficiency in ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s taxonomy (preferred).
- Skilled in e-learning authoring tools, LMS platforms, and multimedia production required.
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills required.
- Familiarity with project management tools; PMP certification is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid role based in Durham, NC, with remote flexibility.
- Maximum 24 hours/week required.
- Up to 20% travel may be required.
- Occasional nights/weekends to support global business activities required.
