Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Assignment Dates: 10/06/2025 – 01/03/2026
Location: Reno, NV 89511
Shift: Day shift, 4x12 hours (with potential OT, on-call, and floating assignments)

• Must live at least 100 miles away.

• Minimum 3+ years of Level III NICU experience required.

• Level II or greater NICU experience required.

• Competency in:

  • High-frequency ventilation

  • Nitric oxide administration

  • Heliox therapy

  • Neonatal intubation

  • Neonatal ventilator management

  • Bubble CPAP

  • Heated high-flow for neonates

  • Neonatal arterial puncture

  • Delivery attendance

• NICU transport experience preferred.

• Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, PALS (all required).

The Respiratory Therapist administers prescribed respiratory care and provides comprehensive support for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Duties include:

• Conducting diagnostic evaluations (obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests/studies).

• Managing respiratory treatments across adult critical care and neonatal critical care units.

• Applying and monitoring:

  • Medical gases and environmental control systems

  • Mechanical ventilatory support

  • Artificial airway care

  • Bronchopulmonary hygiene

  • Pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures

• Providing cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and hemodynamic cardiovascular support.

• Educating patients and families regarding respiratory care and treatment plans.

• Floating between units as needed, including adult critical care and NICU.

• Participating in on-call rotations and covering overtime shifts when required.
