Phlebotomist I

The Patient Services Representative I serves as the primary point of contact for patients, supporting their health routines and significant health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while adhering to established protocols. The role requires building patient trust by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws safely and accurately. The PSR I also demonstrates leadership, process excellence, and maintains strict confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

• Perform daily tasks accurately and promptly under the guidance of the area supervisor.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

• Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established standards.

• Maintain all required records and documentation meticulously.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold a positive image for patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Communicate effectively with patients to build trust and confidence during procedures.

• Deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including proficiency with pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, be on-call, and accept overtime based on staffing needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training) preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

• Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience REQUIRED.

• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
