Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Palmdale, CA
Job Duration: 3-4 Months(possibility to extension)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.20/ hr on w2
Job Summary:
-
The Patient Services Representative I serves as the primary point of contact for patients, supporting their health routines and significant health decisions.
-
The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while adhering to established protocols.
-
The role requires building patient trust by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws safely and accurately.
-
The PSR I also demonstrates leadership, process excellence, and maintains strict confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and promptly under the guidance of the area supervisor.
-
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
-
Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established standards.

Maintain all required records and documentation meticulously.
-
Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold a positive image for patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Communicate effectively with patients to build trust and confidence during procedures.
Job Requirements:
-
Deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including proficiency with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, be on-call, and accept overtime based on staffing needs.
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
-
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training) preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience REQUIRED.
-
One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
-
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
