Associate Scientist

Job Title: Associate Scientist Location: Cambridge, MA Duration: 12+ Months (Temp to Hire)    Shift Hours: 1st shift, Mon - Fri - 40 hours Pay Range: $26 - $28/hr. on W2   Job Description: The successful candidate will be a part of the CMC DS Process Development Group, responsible for the process development to incorporate novel chemistries into our manufacturing platform.   Top skills:

• Chemical eng. or chemistry backgrounds
• Lab experience - internships or research exp

• Support oligonucleotide synthesis method development, optimization and scaleup
• Support downstream processing method development
• Execution of in process analytical testing
• Working with research and process scientists to develop robust processes for novel chemistries

• Basic understanding of analytical techniques (pH, osmolality, conductivity measurement, HPLC, LCMS etc.). Related hands-on experience is preferred. Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacture process including phosphoramidite chemistry, chromatography, ultrafiltration etc. is a plus.
• Experience in recordkeeping and excellent laboratory documentation practice are required. Strong commitment to high laboratory and scientific standard; ability to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory work environment; assist in routine lab and equipment maintenance.
• Good communication skills are a must for this position. The successful candidate must be a responsible and proactive individual who is able to work as a team player in a highly dynamic environment with aggressive timelines.

• BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 03 years of lab experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
