Phlebotomist II - Float
Job Title: Phlebotomist – Floater
Location: Margate, FL
Shift: 4 months
Duration: Must have flexibility for availability Monday to Friday between 6 am - 4 pm & Rotational Saturdays 6:30am to 12:00pm.
Job Summary:
The PSR II is the frontline representative for patient services, responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for lab testing. This role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate experience. PSR IIs work independently and may be assigned to multiple locations, requiring flexibility and travel.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood draws (venipuncture/capillary) accurately and safely.

Verify patient identity and label specimens correctly.

Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and quality standards.

Provide excellent customer service and build patient trust.

Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow safety protocols.

Accurately complete documentation and records.

Travel between multiple patient service centers as needed (floater role).
Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required); medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA).

Experience: 3+ years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric draws; 2+ years in patient service environment preferred.

Skills: Strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, multitask in high-volume settings, excellent customer communication.

Other: Reliable transportation and clean driving record (required for floaters). Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible to work weekends, holidays, and travel on short notice.
Additional Notes:

Bus/rideshare not considered reliable transportation.

Mileage reimbursement provided for floaters traveling between sites.
