Job Description:
The Assistant Residency Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and daily operations of the Surgical Residency Program. This role works closely with the Residency Program Director and Residency Program Coordinator to ensure compliance with ACGME standards, smooth program operations, and effective support for residents and faculty.

Job Description:
The Assistant Residency Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and daily operations of the Surgical Residency Program. This role works closely with the Residency Program Director and Residency Program Coordinator to ensure compliance with ACGME standards, smooth program operations, and effective support for residents and faculty.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the Surgical Residency Program
- Support compliance with ACGME, RRC, and specialty board requirements
- Maintain resident schedules, rotations, duty hours, and attendance records
- Coordinate resident recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and orientation
- Manage residency databases (New Innovations, ERAS, WebADS, GME Track)
- Track resident evaluations, case logs, and accreditation documentation
- Serve as liaison between residents, faculty, affiliated hospitals, and medical schools
- Assist with visa documentation (J-1 / H-1B) for international residents
- Prepare reports, meeting agendas, minutes, and program documentation
- Assist with internal reviews, graduation activities, and program meetings
- Support budgeting and expense tracking for the residency program
- Perform administrative and special project duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Knowledge of ACGME accreditation requirements
- Experience with data entry, reporting, and database management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Preferred)
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3–5 years of administrative experience
- Experience in a medical, hospital, or academic setting preferred
- Experience with residency or GME programs is a plus
