Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 3 Months+(possible extension)
 
 
Pay Range: $85-$90/hr. on W2
Shift Timing: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM - Evening Shift
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team. This role involves ensuring safe and effective medication dispensing, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy dispensing systems, sterile processing, IV room operations, and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently dispense medications using pharmacy dispensing systems.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide consultations on proper medication use and potential side effects.
• Sterile Processing and IV Room Operations:
• Prepare and compound sterile products in compliance with USP standards.
• Maintain aseptic techniques in the IV room.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize treatment plans.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including NYSED licensing requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within EMR systems.
• Counsel patients on medication usage and safety.
• Monitor and address adverse drug reactions or interactions.

 
Qualifications:

• License: Valid Pharmacist license issued by NYSED with Primary Source Verification.
• Experience: At least 1 year of Pharmacist experience.

 
Proficiency in:

• Pharmacy dispensing systems.
• Sterile processing and IV room protocols.
• EMR systems (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
