Job Title: Radiology Tech
Location: Lafayette, LA, 70503
Duration: 08/04/2025 – 11/03/2025
Shift: Night Shift – 12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours per week

• 2+ years of experience required.

• XR technologist with trauma experience required.

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Required.

• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice – Required.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association – Required.

• Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.

• Use radiology information systems to facilitate care.

• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.

• Operate equipment independently to complete imaging procedures according to protocol (may include placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast).

• Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.

• Complete timely quality control procedures per regulatory standards, performing notification/remediation as needed.

• Assist with departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).

• Adapt care and communication to patient needs, respecting privacy and obtaining permissions.

• Remain knowledgeable on applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.

• Maintain compliance with safety, privacy, and ethical standards.

• Heavy Work: Exerting 50–100 lbs occasionally, 25–50 lbs frequently, 10–20 lbs constantly.

• Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and communicable diseases.

• Possible exposure to hazardous medications or waste, depending on job duties.
