Radiology Tech
Job Title: Radiology Tech
Location: Lafayette, LA, 70503
Duration: 08/04/2025 – 11/03/2025
Shift: Night Shift – 12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Required Skills & Experience
-
2+ years of experience required.
-
XR technologist with trauma experience required.
Education
-
Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
Licensure & Certifications
-
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Required.
-
Current unrestricted license in the state of practice – Required.
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association – Required.
Job Summary
-
Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
-
Use radiology information systems to facilitate care.
-
Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
-
Operate equipment independently to complete imaging procedures according to protocol (may include placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast).

Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.

Complete timely quality control procedures per regulatory standards, performing notification/remediation as needed.

Assist with departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).

Adapt care and communication to patient needs, respecting privacy and obtaining permissions.

Remain knowledgeable on applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
-
Maintain compliance with safety, privacy, and ethical standards.
Physical & Environmental Demands
-
Heavy Work: Exerting 50–100 lbs occasionally, 25–50 lbs frequently, 10–20 lbs constantly.

Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and communicable diseases.
-
Possible exposure to hazardous medications or waste, depending on job duties.
