JOB DESCRIPTION
PLEASE be sure the candidates understand the schedule and are okay with the rotating aspect of it. There is ZERO flexibility on it.

Schedule A
Week one (for 3 months): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Sunday - 6:00 am - 6:30
pm
Week two (for 3 months): Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday - 6:00 am - 6:30 pm
These roles shift from front half to back half of the week every three months.
OR
Schedule B (OVERNIGHT)
Week one: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Sunday - 6:00 pm - 6:30 am
Week two: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday - 6:00 pm - 6:30 am
These roles shift from front half to back half of the week every three months.
*This overnight shift gets a 15% shift differential
36 hours for non-Sunday weeks, 48 hour weeks with Sundays. 4 hours from the 48 hour week are
applied to the 36 hour week to get to 40, which leaves 4 hours of OT for the 2 week period.
Interview will consist of 1 phone screen then, if selected, an on-site interview for 2 hours which will include a hands-on mechanical test.

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician I is a critical contributor in a mission that truly represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a company that is making significant investments in establishing US manufacturing, expanding internationally, and delivering a consistent cadence of product innovations to the market and investing in its people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for repairs, construction, and maintenance of highly automated and advanced manufacturing equipment necessary to produce our signature product. This individual will be trained and cross-trained to run and operate machines, trouble shoot, root cause and repair issues across a variety of technologies including laser welding, mechanical swaging, printed circuit board (PCB) handling and testing, metal stamping and bending, and high-speed discrete component assembly. This position requires mechanical aptitude, technical ability, machine troubleshooting, proficiency with power tools, and problem-solving skills, and the willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Follow all policies and procedures including safety and quality standards.
• Read and understand a prints/drawings and be capable of constructing basic assemblies accordingly.
• Perform equipment setup, operation, testing, repair, and weekly preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. These tasks must be completed under minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair electromechanical systems on equipment.
• Executes equipment and safety inspections, and generates emergency, corrective, and/or preventative work orders as needed.
• Excellent attention to detail, good organization, and capable of working independently with minimal instruction.
• Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks (i.e., cleaning, inspection, and lubrication) while working with small, machined parts.
• Thoroughly document maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate issues to appropriate employees in a timely manner(e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, group message boards, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and identify potential solutions for mechanical errors, safety issues, or general operating inefficiencies with assembly production processes.
• Utilize and update basic databases to reflect corrective actions taken and materials consumed and analyze data to be able to root cause issues.
• Direct hands-on involvement in installation, start-up, qualification, and debugging of new automation, including wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality policies, and employee guidelines.
• This is a hands-on role, requiring the candidate to take on project work assigned as an individual contributor, or as a participant on cross functional teams, as well as being able to utilize tools to inspect, repair, assemble, and maintain equipment.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• At least 1-3 years of experience working with hand tools on manufacturing equipment, construction, HVAC, Automotive, etc. executing repair and maintenance activities.
• Basic computer skills and use of MS Office applications.
• Written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
• Experience working, debugging, and/or maintaining automated equipment.
• Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
• Mechanical Aptitude – Knowledge of and experience with automated machines and tools, including design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Familiar with specific manufacturing processes such as crimping, mechanical swaging, laser welding, electronic controls, and precise component assembly.
• Familiar with typical sensors on automated equipment including pressure switches, inductive sensors, photoelectric sensors, reed switches, and load cells.
• Technical knowledge of cam driven linkages, discrete component assembly and automation
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
• Required to stand for at least 75% of working time per shift, with walking at least 50% of working time per shift.
• Required to reach above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
• Required to push and pull.
• Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally, 5-30lbs frequently.
• Ability to work in tight spaces.
• Able to work any shift.
