Job Description:
The Field Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network devices, as well as supporting LAN/WAN systems, Avaya phone systems, and port activations. The ideal candidate should have experience with Cisco device installations and configuration, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and the ability to update firmware on switches.

Job Description:
The Field Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network devices, as well as supporting LAN/WAN systems, Avaya phone systems, and port activations. The ideal candidate should have experience with Cisco device installations and configuration, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and the ability to update firmware on switches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Cisco network devices and systems.
- Troubleshoot and support LAN/WAN configurations, Avaya systems, and port activations.
- Configure switches and update firmware as needed.
- Work with routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.
- Service Now familiarity is a plus for ticketing and tracking support.
- Travel between sites as required for installations and troubleshooting.
- Be on-call as required by business needs.
Education:
- Minimum: Associates Degree
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a plus (if not CCNA certified, must be working towards it).
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required for travel between sites.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Cisco devices, installations, and configurations.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN and Avaya systems.
- Experience with port activations and configuring switches.
- Understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Ability to work independently and effectively troubleshoot network issues.
- Experience with Service Now for ticketing and support (preferred).
