Job Title: Medical Technologist | Medical Lab Scientist
Location: Shreveport, LA
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension/ Temp to Hire)

Shift: Mon – Fri 8 AM – 5 PM
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests, maintain accurate records, and ensure quality control while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
 
Responsibilities:

• Process specimens and perform analyses using approved testing procedures.
• Release test results, ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
• Maintain quality control records, document all testing activities, and follow corrective action protocols when necessary.
• Report critical results, assist with customer inquiries, and ensure a clean and organized lab environment.
• Participate in training and safety programs and assist with regulatory inspections as needed.

 
Qualifications:

• Education: BS in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent).
• Experience: 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience with high complexity testing (preferred).
• Certifications: Eligible for national certification (ASCP, AMT).
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, QC/QA, and computer systems.

 
Additional Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience (high-complexity testing).
• Must have current LA LSBME license
