Phlebotomist II
Duartion: 3 months
Location: Knoxville TN
Shift: 7:30am to 4pm EST
Pay range - $19.30/hr - $21.55/hr
Job Overview
The PSR II serves as the face of the company to patients, providing quality blood specimen collection and preparation for lab testing while fostering trust and confidence. This role requires skillful, safe, and accurate venipuncture and specimen handling, with a strong focus on confidentiality, process excellence, and leadership behaviors. Assignments may include work in doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of an area supervisor.

Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm accurate labeling of specimens.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements

Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexibility for variable work hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Adherence to company policies, including dress code, health & safety, and guiding principles.

Sound decision-making and good judgment based on established procedures.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if travel is required.

Willingness and ability to travel and work multiple locations on short notice.

Education & Experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
-
1-3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
