Title:Phlebotomist I
Location: Merritt Island, FL
Duration: 3 months
Shift: Monday - Friday 6am - 3pm, Rotating Saturdays 7am -11am/EST

Job Summary: The PSR I serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a professional, safe, and supportive environment. They perform blood draws, prepare specimens for lab testing, and explain procedures to patients with care. The PSR I adheres to established protocols, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates leadership while ensuring process excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws (forensic & clinical) and specimen processing with accuracy.

• Ensure safety and professionalism in all patient interactions.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Foster trust and confidence with patients, clients, and colleagues.

• Follow supervisor’s direction, ensuring tasks are completed timely and correctly.

Requirements:

• Strong phlebotomy skills (pediatric & geriatric).

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Availability for flexible scheduling (weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime).

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

• 6+ months phlebotomy experience required, 1+ year preferred.

• Customer service experience a plus.

• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
