Phlebotomist I

Location: Port Saint Lucie, FL
Duration: 5+ Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM; Rotating Saturdays, 7:00 AM–2:00 PM EST

The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the face of the organization, providing high-quality specimen collection services to patients. This role involves direct patient interaction, requiring professionalism, empathy, and technical skill to ensure accurate and safe blood draws. The Phlebotomist I supports laboratory operations by preparing specimens for testing and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.

• Perform accurate and timely specimen collection (clinical and forensic) following established procedures.
• Create a welcoming and professional environment for patients, ensuring comfort and trust during procedures.
• Maintain and update patient records and documentation in accordance with confidentiality standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence in all tasks.
• Adapt to flexible scheduling needs including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required); Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA).
• Experience: Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.
• Skills: Strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills; customer service experience; proficient in data entry.

• Must reside within a 20–25 minute commute of the job site.
• Reliable transportation is mandatory (rideshare/bus not accepted).
• Punctuality and full-shift availability are strictly enforced.
• Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.
