Shift: Monday- Thursday 6:30-3:30 & Saturday 6-11
Duration: 4 Months
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the organization in a professional, compassionate, and trustworthy manner. This role is responsible for performing clinical and forensic specimen collection, including venipuncture, and preparing specimens for laboratory testing in compliance with established procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements. The PSR I ensures accurate documentation, timely completion of daily tasks, and delivers high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and specimen collection (clinical and forensic) following established protocols

Prepare, label, process, and package specimens for laboratory testing

Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and data entry

Explain procedures clearly to patients to promote comfort, trust, and confidence

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety regulations, and confidentiality standards

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

Perform daily operational tasks accurately and on time under the direction of an area supervisor

Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public

Adhere to attendance, punctuality, and scheduling requirements
Required Skills and Competencies

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision

Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills

Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills

Keyboarding and data entry proficiency

Commitment to professionalism, reliability, and accuracy
Education and Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)

Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, and WA)
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience (Required)
-
One or more years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
-
Customer service experience in retail or service environments (Preferred)
