- Knowledge of Electrical Procedures and Codes – In-depth understanding of processes and procedures required to implement physical modifications to the facility.
- Strong Personnel Computer Skills – Experience with Maximo, SAP, DocTop, Microsoft Office Suite, Plant Asset Management System (PAMS).
- Strong Organizational Skills – Completion of Nuclear Electrical Development Program (NEDP) or applicable experience is desirable.
Soft Skill Requirements:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
High-Level Project Overview:
- Provide technical support by reviewing Design Change (DC) packages prior to implementation.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications, recommending changes for constructability.
- Coordinate, monitor, and oversee work activities in the field, providing Client oversight to supplemental craft personnel.
- Coordinate and monitor vendor performance.
- Participate in budget and scheduling meetings, providing input on Client requirements, duration, dates, and materials.
- Perform field walkdowns and constructability reviews prior to the start of work to identify potential problems.
- Monitor and oversee various craft disciplines including electrical, mechanical, welding, civil, and instrumentation.
- Prepare and review construction procedures as needed for projects.
- Ensure all work activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Resolve construction-related problems involving engineering drawings, specifications, and design change packages.
Preferred Years of Experience:
- 8 or more years of construction/project experience, which may include hands-on project management experience in the electrical field.
- Documented experience in planning and/or implementing construction projects.
- Nuclear experience is preferred.
- Note: Partial years of related work experience (≥6 months) count as one year; a Master’s Degree counts as one year toward experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred education.
Licenses, Certifications, or Qualifications:
- Engineering, maintenance, or project management experience is required.
- Nuclear field, construction field, or utilities field.
