Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Elberton GA
Duration: 6 months+ of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon-Friday 8:30am-5pm, rotational Saturday 9am-12pm EST
Position Overview:
The PSR II serves as the face of our company to patients, assisting them with routine health services or critical health decisions. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining strict adherence to established procedures. The PSR II fosters patient trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing phlebotomy safely, accurately, and skillfully.
Successful candidates may be assigned to a doctor’s office, a patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Conduct both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established practices.

Verify patient demographic information, including initials and signatures, to ensure proper labeling of specimens.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Exhibit leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
-
Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
Experience:
-
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or service highly preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.
Skills & Abilities:

Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills across all age groups.

Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Superior customer focus, effective communication, and adaptability to change.
Additional Requirements:

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.

Home city/commute time must be within 20–25 minutes of the worksite.

Direct phlebotomy experience determines pay rate (overlapping roles do not count twice).

Students must have schedules compatible with shift requirements.
-
Must be punctual, stay for the full shift, and maintain low absenteeism.

Must provide reliable transportation (rideshares or public transit not considered reliable).
Work Environment:

May be assigned to multiple locations as business needs dictate.

Travel and flexible hours required.
