Thursday-Monday or Friday-Tuesday, flexible hours 6:00-3:00, 7:00-4:00, 8:00-5:00 (first 2-3 weeks of training would be M-F 7:00-4:00)

BASIC SUMMARY:

Perform basic tasks as outlined by the supervisor to provide support / assistance to assigned department(s).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform general housekeeping and maintenance of department areas.

Sterilize and/or remove used laboratory materials (e.g., petri dishes, culture tubes, crates, etc.).

Wash, sterilize, and prepare glassware for laboratory use.

Prepare basic documentation, labeling and or other records keeping and filing.

Prepare /mail crates and serology kits to customers. Perform stocking and restocking duties. Take proper safety precautions and utilize appropriate safety gear/equipment in the performance of all duties.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.









Additional Requisition Requirements





Day to Day Duties:



Forage boards/BH treatments: ~4 hours/day

Client/protocol driven foodstuff requirements, prep and distribution: ~2 hours/day

Tx room cleaning, stocking, instrument cleaning: ~8 hours/week

Tx food prep (includes Sx foodstuffs): ~8 hours/week

Smecta apples prep: ~2 hours week (currently fulfilled by Client OT)

Colony filing, help with books, TOCs: ~10 hours/week

o Includes colony filing for Animal Records (Letty s group)

Foodstuff delivery put away / organize: ~ 4 hrs/week







MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).

Experience: 0-6 months related experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

Certification/Licensure: None.

Other: Ability to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines. Must be detail oriented.
