Job Title: Interventional Technologist
Location: Royal Oak, MI
Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possibilities of Extension)
Schedule Notes: Hours: 7:30 AM – 6 PM weekdays only. Some weeknight backup call
Shift length: 10hrs. Weekend rotation: on call only, every 2-4 weekends

Note: Non-Taxable Per Diem is provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility.
Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, the Senior Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education.

Duties:

• Monitor patients undergoing routine invasive, interventional procedures. Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient/family centered care.
• May be required to perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations.
• IR Special Procedure Techs must be able to 1st assist physicians using sterile technique, and fully participate in image post processing, cross modality imaging (CT, U/S), 3D imaging, vascular, and cerebral cases if performed at the site.

• Required Associate's Degree Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
• Required Associate's Degree or equivalent in cardiovascular technology/basic science.

• 3 years of experience as IR Technologist.
• ARRT (VI)
• BLS
• ACLS
