Artwork Coordinator

Pay Range - $24.00 hourly on W2

Summary:
This position leads Clients, Engineers and Suppliers in the coordination of component specification and artwork approval.

Essential Functions:
  • Work with clients and/or package engineers to identify printed component requirements
  • Coordinates with client and supplier to obtain approvals of artwork and component specifications.
  • Develop timeline and cost; obtain internal and external approval of printed component development or changes
  • Uses Adobe Illustrator to create and modify dielines for packaging components (Labels, PIs, Cartons, etc.)
  • Assists in training others on how to use Adobe Illustrator.
  • Uses GMP compliant systems to approve artwork, specifications, and dielines for commercial production/use.
  • Provides client/internal stakeholders with drawing or layout to communicate functional limitations.
  • Review artwork to confirm functionality.
  • Leads package engineer, supplier and client to develop and generate printed packaging component specifications for approval.
  • Generate in-house labels, and obtain approvals.
  • Actively support Project Teams and improvement projects.
  • Take on additional projects as needed

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor s Degree preferred.
    • Suggested Majors Include: Communication Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or similar majors. Other majors welcome. Candidates should be comfortable using Adobe Illustrator and have an interest in the pharmaceutical industry, labelling, and packaging design.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Experience in packaging design preferred.

Equivalency :
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Competencies:
Strong attention to detail is a must. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator. Some knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Strong p roficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to learn systems relevant to pharmaceutical packaging and labelling such as Codesoft, GLAMS, Electronic Document Management System.


Physical Requirements:
Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pound pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
