Job Summary:
- The Maintenance Technician is tasked with ensuring the proper functioning of various systems and equipment within a facility.
- This position entails performing routine maintenance, trouble-shooting issues, and conducting repairs to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards.
- The Maintenance Technician collaborates closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose issues with equipment and systems and execute re-pairs promptly and efficiently.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with other departments to address maintenance needs and support overall facility operations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Engage with various vendors and property maintenance teams as needed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders when repair/maintenance requires coordination across multiple departments.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training or certification in maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or related roles is essential.
- Previous experience working in a clean room and under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is desirable.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in performing basic lab equipment maintenance, such as oiling pumps and defrosting cold storage units.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional off-hours to accommodate functional lab/business needs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective collaboration with team members and other departments.
- Computer Literacy: Fundamental computer skills are required.
- Work Environment: Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced multitasking setting.
