Position Overview:
The Contractor Medical Writer, Medical Information – Payer & Health Systems (PHS), supports the development and dissemination of scientific content and materials tailored to Payers, Healthcare Intermediaries, and Health Systems across the assigned pharmaceutical portfolio. This role is responsible for developing evidence-based payer materials and supporting quantitative and qualitative reporting on payer-related success metrics.
Key Responsibilities:

2. Voice of Customer & Metrics (20%)
3. Projects & Research (10%)

Position Overview:
The Contractor Medical Writer, Medical Information – Payer & Health Systems (PHS), supports the development and dissemination of scientific content and materials tailored to Payers, Healthcare Intermediaries, and Health Systems across the assigned pharmaceutical portfolio. This role is responsible for developing evidence-based payer materials and supporting quantitative and qualitative reporting on payer-related success metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payer Scientific Content & Materials (70%)
- Support development and timely dissemination of tailored, evidence-based scientific materials for assigned therapeutic area products.
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary review team to review and approve payer-regulated content prior to use.
- Assist in development of:
- AMCP standard and pre-approval dossiers
- Medicaid formulary requests
- Custom payer requests
(in collaboration with Medical Affairs and Real-World Value & Evidence (RW V&E) therapeutic area leads)
- Contribute to shaping and development of Payer Digital Assets in partnership with Medical Information CSI/Digital teams.
- Collaborate with RW V&E Field, Medical Affairs Therapeutic Area teams, and the Medical Information Scientific Engagement Contact Center to support responses to unsolicited Medical Information Requests from Payers and Health Systems.
- Support development and dissemination of scientific information to Clinical Decision Resource Organizations (CDROs) in partnership with Medical Information Affairs, RW V&E, SCG, and Therapeutic Teams.
- Assist with drug compendia interactions and collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners to evaluate engagement strategies.
- Ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient vendor-delivered payer scientific materials, including providing real-time feedback and first-line scientific review as needed.
2. Voice of Customer & Metrics (20%)
- Leverage voice-of-customer insights and additional feedback sources to identify actionable improvements in payer and health system materials.
- Support development and tracking of quantitative and qualitative payer content success metrics and reporting.
3. Projects & Research (10%)
- Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
- Conduct benchmarking and landscape research related to Payers, Healthcare Intermediaries, and Health Systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong scientific writing and editing skills within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience developing AMCP dossiers and payer-facing materials preferred.
- Understanding of payer landscape, formulary decision-making, and evidence communication strategies.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, RW V&E, digital teams, and vendors.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
