This hands-on, laboratory-based position requires a strong background in in-vivo pharmacology, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams and functions.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated In-Vivo Pharmacologist to join our Type 2 Immunology Cluster within the Immunology and Inflammation Therapeutic Area. This hands-on, laboratory-based position requires a strong background in in-vivo pharmacology, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and perform in-vivo pharmacology experiments to support project goals, including study design, data collection, communication of results, and report writing.
- Summarize and present study data to project teams within set timelines.
- Generate pharmacology reports to support IND submissions.
- Apply established procedures and transform Client’s approaches into routine laboratory practice.
- Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to enhance evaluation of therapeutics’ mechanisms of action and identify new targets.
- Develop ex vivo analytical tools to maximize data read-outs from in vivo studies.
- Act as a technical contributor with the ability to troubleshoot experiments.
- Support the development of disease-relevant in-vivo models.
- Maintain meticulous and compliant laboratory records following Client quality guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, local, and Client animal welfare regulations.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of immunology with mechanistic understanding of autoimmune or inflammatory diseases.
- Proficiency in establishing in vivo PK/PD and efficacy models of immunology/autoimmune diseases (e.g., DTH, DSS, T cell transfer model, ovalbumin-induced asthma).
- Extensive hands-on experience with rodent inflammatory models, molecular, cellular biology, and immunological assays (e.g., flow cytometry, cytokine measurement).
- Skilled in in vivo dosing, bleeding, handling techniques, and basic surgical procedures.
- Experience in compound or reagent preparation.
- Ability to work under moderate supervision with regular review of results.
- Proven ability to present study results clearly to project teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused, results-oriented environment.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant biopharmaceutical research experience, OR
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Pharmacology, or related field with at least 1 year relevant research experience in academia or biopharmaceutical industry.
