Essential Responsibilities:
- Performs daily activities under the supervision of the area supervisor, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintains a safe and professional work environment.
- Confidently performs both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation as required.
- Promotes a positive and professional image of the organization to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
- Communicates procedures clearly to patients and ensures comfort during blood draws.
General Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience required.
- One (1+) year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic training) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
- Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
