Job Summary:
- The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory and ensuring the efficient flow of lab supplies using electronic systems and mobile scanning tools. This role involves receiving, inspecting, stocking, and maintaining accurate inventory records while providing responsive support to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use handheld RF scanners and mobile apps to perform replenishments, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, returns, and backorder processing.
- Receive, inspect, and store shipments; maintain accurate cycle counts and inventory records.
- Manage customer interactions primarily via email, with follow-up by phone, assisting internal partners to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to propose and implement workflow improvements.
- Uphold safety and organization standards, following site guidelines and wearing required PPE.
- Monitor stock levels proactively and flag gaps or issues to prevent operational disruptions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1–2 years of customer-facing, retail stocking, warehouse, or inventory control experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Effective inventory management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience using RF handheld scanners, mobile scanning apps, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly via email.
- Self-starter with attention to detail, accountability, and strong teamwork.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Work primarily independently at customer sites, including areas with chemical-based allergens (e.g., penicillin, tetracycline).
- PPE (lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, steel-toe shoes) often required.
- Regular lifting of 30–40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally); use of pushcarts or forklifts to move up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, and manual material handling; work in varied-temperature environments.
Education / Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience supporting FMCG or similar industries is a plus.
- Fluency in English (read, write, speak).
Preferred Competencies:
- Background in corporate recruiting or retained search for Executive-level professionals.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, job boards), MS Word, Outlook, Excel. Experience with Taleo or other ATS and talent relationship management systems preferred.
- Knowledge of HR recruitment practices, including compensation, global mobility, employment law, interviewing, and sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
- Strong assessment, interviewing, and candidate evaluation skills.
- Experience leveraging metrics to assess and maintain sourcing performance.

- Experience managing product complaints, sample retrieval, investigations, CAPAs, and reconciliations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective facilitation.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and build relationships across global teams.
- Demonstrates continuous improvement mindset, Lean/Agile thinking, resourcefulness, and accountability.
- Additional language proficiency preferred to support regional collaboration.
