Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Brooklyn, NY 
Pay range - $28/hr.- $32/hr.
Duration: 3 Months (possible extension) 

• Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 shifts/week, 7.5 hours per day)

• Shift Timing: Shifts may vary – Day, Evening, or Midnight  (Schedule will be discussed during the interview)

• Weekend Requirement: Saturdays only

The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist to assist with the preparation and distribution of medications and inventory management in a hospital or retail setting. The technician is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring medication safety and accuracy. Rotational shifts and assignments across different areas and times are required based on department needs.

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications and maintaining drug inventory

• Rotate through assignments and shifts to meet operational demands of the pharmacy

• Receive, return, and deliver medications and supply carts to various hospital units

• Operate and troubleshoot automated dispensing equipment and systems

• Maintain attention to detail and complete assigned tasks within required timeframes

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local pharmacy regulations and policies

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience – Required

  • Experience in pharmacy dispensing, sterile processing, or IV room operations – Preferred

• Language Skills: Spanish-speaking – Preferred

• Certifications: NYSED registered Pharmacy Technician 

• Ability to work flexible shifts and rotating tours

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with pharmacy equipment and medication safety protocols

• Must adhere to institutional and regulatory standards
