Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 3x12 Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Holidays Required | No On-Call
Unit: Med Surg/Telemetry

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support registered nurses in providing high-quality care to patients. The PCT will assist with clinical and personal care tasks, specimen collection, and patient monitoring in a fast-paced hospital environment.
 
Responsibilities:

• Welcome and identify patients; prepare for assessments and procedures
• Perform EKGs and assist with blood draws using proper aseptic techniques
• Provide hygiene and comfort care (bathing, toileting, oral care, feeding)
• Monitor and document vital signs, glucose checks, and intake/output
• Assist with equipment setup, room prep, and patient transport
• Ensure patient safety, timely communication with RNs, and response to call lights
• Support unit supply restocking and cleanliness

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification: BLS/CPR (American Heart Association); completion of a PCT program including Phlebotomy, EKG, and clinical care
• Experience: At least 1 year of recent PCT experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred
• Skills: IV, phlebotomy, EPIC documentation system
