Medical Technologist/ Medical Lab Scientist
Job Title: Medical Technologist/ Medical Lab Scientist
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension/ Temp to Hire)
Shift: Mon – Fri 6 am - 2:30 pm & Rot Sat 6:30 am - 10:30 am.
Pay range: $28.65 - $32.88/hr. on W2
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests, maintain accurate records, and ensure quality control while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Process specimens and perform analyses using approved testing procedures.
- Release test results, ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
- Maintain quality control records, document all testing activities, and follow corrective action protocols when necessary.
- Report critical results, assist with customer inquiries, and ensure a clean and organized lab environment.
- Participate in training and safety programs and assist with regulatory inspections as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent).
- Experience: 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience with high complexity testing (preferred).
- Certifications: Eligible for national certification (ASCP, AMT).
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, QC/QA, and computer systems.
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience (high-complexity testing).
- One year of clinical laboratory experience in a generalist capacity or in areas like CBC differential, urine microscopy, and body fluid analysis is preferred.
