Phlebotomist III - Floater
Job Location: Colorado Springs CO
Job Duration: 4-5 Months with possible extension.
Shift: There are no set hours.
Earliest start time is 7am. Latest site closes at 5pm.
Job Summary:
The PSR III serves as the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health checks or significant health decisions. Responsibilities include drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, ensuring safety, accuracy, and patient comfort. This role requires leadership behaviors, confidentiality, and commitment to process excellence. Assignments may vary among doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately, including forensic and clinical collections.

Explain procedures clearly to patients, creating trust and confidence.

Verify patient demographic information and secure patient initials/signatures to confirm proper tube labeling.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Perform daily activities accurately, timely, and maintain a safe, professional environment.

Demonstrate leadership and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Work in multiple locations as assigned, covering Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy locations.

Adapt to flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Job Requirements:
Skills & Abilities:

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong decision-making skills based on established procedures.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).

Additional Details:
-
Pediatric experience required.
-
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
-
Floater position covers Colorado Springs, Fountain, Pueblo, and Canon City.

Training locations vary based on trainer availability.
