Job Summary
The Cost Engineer is responsible for estimating, analyzing, and managing project costs across all phases. This role involves close collaboration with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost projections and financial control.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand project Product, product details, and scale
- Travel to job sites (if required) to assess materials, labor, and other cost factors
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and architects
- Consult with industry experts for accurate cost estimation
- Identify and quantify all cost components of the project
- Use software tools to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Prepare and present cost reports to clients and stakeholders
- Monitor and review expenditure throughout all project phases
