Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Typically requires 5 or more years of IT work experience, including a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated competency in a project coordination role and three or more years of business unit (BU) or BU-facing experience
  • Requires experience with projects involving one or more technology or functional domain Familiar with one or more project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques
  • Ability to blend traditional project management principles and practices with an agile development approach
  • Experience with ServiceNow +required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise required.
  • PowerBI and/or Tableau experience preferred
  • PMI-ACP, CSM, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification preferred

 
Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks Provides leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle, and confers with project staff to outline work plan
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for project activities, releases, iterations or phases, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
  • Implements project communication plan
  • Performs risk assessment and implements mitigation plans
  • Monitors project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across ITS
  • Ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives
  • Assigns duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Creates status reports and distributes them to stakeholders
  • Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation Complexity
  • Plans, leads, organizes, and motivates one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity consisting of multiple teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside of the project team’s scope
  • Works across departments in different locations and interacts with all levels of management and staff.
  • Leads daily program execution, including scope, time, and delivery criteria
  • Champion defined project and program management processes and best practices in the program
  • Leads regular interactions with executive sponsor to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuous working relationship and shared vision for the program outcome
  • Establishes and ensures appropriate program governance functions in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor
  • Directs the creation and maintenance of required program documentation and artifacts Develops and controls the program budget and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans
  • Ensures and balances the availability of required skills and competencies across project teams within the program
  • eads reviews with executive sponsors and stakeholders to identify specific needs, and addresses them appropriately
  • Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting
  • Acts as an advisor, and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community
  • Monitors and coordinates dependencies across projects in the program and resolves conflicts
  • Directs or approves the establishment of framework / guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers, and determines their use across the program
  • Supports and facilitates agenda setting for program committee / board meetings Complexity

  • Interacts with both business and IT individuals at all levels, including executives

 
Engagement-Specific:

  • Develop and execute automation plans for server decommissioning to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
  • Document ongoing automation initiatives, beginning with queued requests, and maintain detailed records to ensure repeatability and compliance
  • Analyze existing decommission workflows, identifying gaps and recommending enhancements for efficiency and risk reduction
  • Apply industry best practices in OS builds, storage, and database management to design and recommend automation solutions in collaboration with IT leadership and technical teams
  • Coordinate decommissioning activities across infrastructure, application, operations, and security teams, ensuring dependencies and downstream impacts are addressed
  • Conduct readiness assessments for systems targeted for decommissioning, verifying data migration, backups, and compliance requirements are met before shutdown
  • Establish and maintain a central repository of decommission artifacts (e.g., runbooks, checklists, approvals) to support governance, audit readiness, and knowledge transfer Track and manage project risks and issues, escalating as needed and recommending mitigation strategies to leadership
  • Monitor and evaluate progress against the overall project plan, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and compliance requirements are achieved
  • Prepare and deliver timely communications including project meeting minutes, monthly status reports, and executive presentations
  • Create and enforce standardized decommission procedures across OS, storage, and database platforms to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Ensure all decommissioning activities adhere to organizational policies, quality standards, and regulatory/statutory requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to drive alignment between technical teams, operations, and business stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and refining the decommissioning framework with evolving automation capabilities.
  • Support budget tracking and cost analysis, highlighting savings achieved through automation and optimized resource usage
  • Advanced Excel expertise – Develops complex models, automated reporting solutions, and scenario analyses using PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and VBA to support data-driven insights and influence project outcomes.
  • ServiceNow experience – Leverages the platform for workflow automation, incident/change tracking, and decommission request management, ensuring process transparency and alignment with ITSM best practices.
