Job Description:
We are seeking a Lab Operations Technician to support the Cell Therapy Development and Operations team. The technician will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, performing routine maintenance, managing emergencies, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and collaborating with internal/external stakeholders. The role demands strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair laboratory equipment; respond to urgent equipment-related issues.
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on lab equipment, including sterilization.
- Support lab organization, efficiency, functionality, and overall productivity.
- Collaborate with warehouse, facilities, EH&S, and lab users to maintain lab standards and safety compliance.
- Schedule and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance with external vendors and partners.
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to evaluate and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
- General familiarity with scientific lab environments and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field OR Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of scientific industry experience.
- Experience with 5S/Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience using CMMS or other equipment management systems.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Lab environment with no exposure to blood or animals.
- May handle hazardous materials.
