Duration: 4 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Pay range: $22.00 - $24.00/hr. on w2

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and open incoming clinical packages and prepare orders for processing.
- Verify and match requisitions with specimens and related documentation.
- Accession patient orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Identify and flag incomplete, missing, or inconsistent information, and communicate with appropriate staff (e.g., Client Services, laboratory personnel) to resolve issues.
- Perform routine clerical tasks to support laboratory operations, including filing, document organization, and maintaining logs and records.
- Adhere to all laboratory policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (e.g., CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines).
- Assist with additional administrative and support tasks as directed by laboratory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- 1–2 years of data entry or clerical experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical, clinical, or laboratory setting is a plus but not required.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and speed.
- High attention to detail, especially when handling patient information and specimen data.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, repetitive work environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to handle multiple tasks and systems simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented setting.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with data entry software; experience with LIS or EMR systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
