Job Title: Molding Operator
Job Duration: +12 months with possible extension
Job Location: Mebane, NC 27302

Shift: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Description:

Summary of the Position:

Operates machines to produce products, ensuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in-process measurements, and quality product. This is done while ensuring that all safety rules are strictly followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read job specifications from the Production Record to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observe machine operation and make adjustments as needed.
• Take samples of products and perform in-process testing.
• Perform all required checks and document activities, maintaining all required documentation in accordance with Work Instructions.
• Assist the Set-Up person to set up the machine, empty baskets, and clean and prepare the machine for changeover; also assist with the actual changeover.
• Notify the Lead Operator when issues occur with equipment or product and take responsibility for correcting issues affecting product quality.
• Spread product as required.
• Assist with cleanup and other production duties as needed.
• May perform other reasonable, related business duties.

Required:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or lab settings

Nice to have:

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting machinery experience.
