Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Poway, CA
Duration: 4 Months
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company for patients seeking routine health screenings or critical health insights. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with established protocols.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills, professional conduct, and a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience. The PSR I must maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of care and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily operational tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Ensure a safe and professional environment for patients and staff.

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence and skill.

Maintain all required records and documentation per company standards.

Communicate clearly and professionally with patients to foster trust and understanding.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Proficient in data entry and keyboard use.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent – Required
-
Phlebotomy Certification – Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience – Required
