The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the company to patients, supporting both routine health visits and critical health decisions. This role involves skillfully and safely drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing, while strictly adhering to established practices and procedures. The PSR I directly interacts with patients, fostering an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and performing phlebotomy with accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff.
- Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established protocols.
- Maintain required records and documentation with accuracy and compliance.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (Required).
- One or more years phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Additional Details:
- Candidates must list home city and commute time on resume.
- Pay rate is based on years of direct phlebotomy experience as reflected in the resume; overlapping roles do not count twice.
- Reliable transportation to/from worksite is mandatory (bus, Uber, rideshare not considered reliable).
- Candidates must be punctual, dependable, and able to complete full shifts. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may lead to termination.
- Candidates should have a commute time within 20-25 minutes of the worksite to ensure timely coverage.
