Job Title: Pharmacy Tech I
Location: Remote, RI 02895
Duration: 6 months+ (possibility of extension)

Pay Rate: $16.55/hr. on W2

Work Schedule:
  • Assigned shifts vary between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM CT (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday)
  • Training hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CT (6 weeks)
 
Position Overview:
You will be the frontline contact for incoming calls from members, providers, and others, providing professional phone support through the criteria-based prior authorization process. Responsibilities include accurate documentation of approvals/denials and referring clinical questions to pharmacists.
 
Candidate Requirements:
Resume must include:
  • City and State of Residence
  • Confirmation if you have worked with Client before (if yes, complete and submit rehire form and provide previous manager's name)
  • Any employment gaps with explanations for each gap
  • Confirmation of ability to attend 100% of training sessions or disclose any conflicts/time off planned
  • Screenshot of internet speed at the top of the resume showing minimum download of 25 Mbps and upload of 3 Mbps (must be hardwired connection)
  • Confirmation of having a dedicated quiet workspace with no interruptions, HIPAA compliant
  • Confirmation of ability to sit and focus uninterrupted for the full shift duration
  • If applicable, a screenshot of your Pharmacy Technician license or certification (required at top of resume)
  • Results of a basic computer skills test attached with the resume
 
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Comfortable using MS Office Suite: MS TEAMS, Outlook (required); Word and Excel (helpful)
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician in an administrative support role (preferred)
  • Pharmacy Technician certification preferred but not mandatory; Pharm Tech Trainee license accepted
  • Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet use
  • Excellent verbal and written customer service skills
 
Education:
  • High School diploma or GED (verifiable) required
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification preferred but not required
 
Important Notes:
  • This is a work-from-home role requiring a stable, dedicated workspace meeting HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Candidate must be able to reliably attend training and assigned shifts without interruption.
  • The role is safety-sensitive; compliance with all safety and confidentiality policies is mandatory.
