Job Description: -
The Forensic Processing Technician reports to the Supervisor of Forensic Processing and plays a key role in the daily operations of the Forensic Toxicology Processing Department. This role is responsible for the receipt, sorting, data entry, and processing of forensic specimens, ensuring adherence to all forensic and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrates a basic but functional understanding of the QTN Lab Information System.

Sorts specimens by source (e.g., hair, oral fluid, urine) and appropriate work list.

Performs Maxilog data entry accurately.

Adheres strictly to forensic protocols and chain-of-custody procedures.

Independently processes urine specimens for both regulated and non-regulated testing.

Follows all company policies and standard operating procedures.

Proficiently scans and images custody and control forms (CCFs).

Responsible for discarding negative specimens per protocol.

Performs Flexilog data entry for routine urine specimens, maintaining a rate of 70 CCFs per hour.

Completes additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Experience:
-
Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Willingness to work in a laboratory environment and comply with safety protocols.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working knowledge of computer systems and data entry.
