Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Sumter SC
Duration: 3 months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon - Thu 8am-5pm and Fri 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Role Overview:
The PSR I serves as the face of the company to patients, assisting with routine health services and life-impacting health decisions. The role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a safe, professional environment while demonstrating leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures.

Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately, creating a trusting environment for patients.

Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and compliance.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all specimen collection activities.

Perform daily activities efficiently and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Demonstrate organizational commitment, promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Adhere to safety, compliance, and quality standards in all tasks.
Job Requirements:

Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Keyboard/data entry skills required.

Strong customer service and communication skills.
Education & Certification:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months experience required, with 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.
