Phlebotomist I

Role Overview:
The PSR I serves as the face of the company to patients, assisting with routine health services and life-impacting health decisions. The role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a safe, professional environment while demonstrating leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures.

• Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately, creating a trusting environment for patients.

• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and compliance.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all specimen collection activities.

• Perform daily activities efficiently and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment, promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Adhere to safety, compliance, and quality standards in all tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Keyboard/data entry skills required.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Education & Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months experience required, with 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.
